At first I thought this furry thing on the window was possibly a wig, then it moved and I realised it was a very well balanced cat. Literally the second after I snapped this the curtains opened and a tattooed man was revealed, it was pretty embarrassing but I guess these are the lengths you have to go to in order to provide exciting pictures for cat party.

Exploration

Last week I was lucky enough to witness an unusual sighting of the rare Snagarelli beast indulging in some urban exploration.

Not often will you see this creature venturing out during the daylight hours. His usual routine is more likely to involve food, sleep and staring at walls.

It was on this special day however, that he navigated the ragged landscape with giant leaps, unafraid of what might cross his path...

He began to traverse the barren wasteland and make his way over to the neighbouring boundary.

His courageous nature brought him to the edge of his territory. Confronted with a barbed wire fence, he sat and contemplated his enemies. It was at this point that the beast spotted our cameras and faced us with a menacing glare. He soon disappeared.

Meanwhile in the land below, a larger and somewhat furrier beast performed some form of tribal ritual.

We have recently moved house. We seem to have moved to Cat City, which is great for me, but less good for Svetlana, who is having to fight hard for her territory. The beauty/psycho above is Vixen. She is mega vicious, and enjoys launching herself through our front window, teeth and claws first.

Svet stands her ground as best she can. Once she has seen off Vixen (ie I have closed the window), what do we hear? Vixen's two offspring have entered the house via the back door.....

I will admit this one is quite handsome, and he has his mothers eyes....

I've been cycling a lot down Hackney Marshes recently and theres a father and son all black mog team living on one of the canal boats which i've been trying to pap for weeks, the other day I came to the spot they usually hang out to be presented with this all new fluffy B&W fella. As seems to be the MO of all canal boat catties, he was pretty skittish, but i managed to grab a few furtive frames of him before he went under. More to come hopefully.

He's our first cat, and essentially moved in with us six months ago after being thrown out by his previous owners. I think its safe to say he's landed on his feet! He's utterly spoilt, and now rules the roost....
