This is Morris Moriarty...

We know Morris has made an appearance on Cat Party before, but we thought we should properly introduce him. Weighing in at a hefty 3.5kg for his petite frame, this apricot chubber is a pretty cool dude. He hails from Canning Town, where he was found living under a shed with his mum, Celia. Since being rescued, he quickly became accustomed to the joys of home living, ie. the sofa. He can generally be found chewing cardboard boxes, stealing pizza from his owners, annoying and subsequently getting slapped up by his mum (who we think may suffer from schizophrenia, but that's another story for another post), walking around aimlessly muttering to himself, and biting his own tail. He has a penchant for decorating the kitchen early in the morning with half-eaten worm carcasses, and is also really crap at covering up his poo. He's not the sharpest tool in the box, but despite his flaws, Morris is pretty much the ultimate furry companion.

Egyptian Nights

This beast has been spotted before and what a beast he is... dEth named him 'The Sphinx', which I think works pretty well. He only seems to appear in the shadows of night, skulking about and ruling his empire (Belfast Road, Stokey).

Something for the weekend

This chap cheered me up and was quite the professional, posing when I shoved my camera phone in his furry face

Nominations for October's 'TOP CAT' post of the month announced!!!

Cat Party Admin are pleased to announce that this month's 'Top Cat' competition is now OPEN!!!

Pegs, the winner of last month's competition and curator of the shortlist of nominations for this month has chosen her top ten.

We brought her in to Cat Party HQ for a private awards ceremony, where she received her personalized Cat Party 'Top Cat' mug.

Here are some pictures of her 'drinking from the furry cup'.

Pegs had 61 posts from October to sift through so we must all commend her on what must have been a tough job!

We at Cat HQ believe that Cat Party is more than just a bunch of pictures of cute, furry beasts. We want more than that, so this month we would like to suggest a list of voting/posting guidelines.

These are not strict rules, (as sometimes simplicity can be purrfection) however, here are a few things to think about when placing your vote

- Photography
- Narrative
- Use of other mediums (ie video/music/illustration etc)
- A certain je ne sais quoi that deserves 'Top Cat' status

See the panel on the right for the contenders, and be sure to place your votes in the section beneath that.

We also think that all the shortlisted cat-idates should be promoting themselves to the utmost extent. This will not only increase your chances of winning but will promote Cat Party.

Thanks again to Pegs.

Spread the word, obey the rules, and keep it furry.

Milk Beard

They go crazy for a bit of Cat Milk!

Drunk on the Cat Milk!

Rabbit Lover

One chilly night Lisa put her rabbits away in their hutch like every other night. It had become such a routine affair that she did not look inside the hutch before shoving her giant floppy eared pets in their night time home....

The next morning when Lisa let the rabbits out of the hutch to eat what was left of the devastated garden she was shocked to find this skinny ginger fella in the hutch all cuddled up with the two rabbits ....not a drop of blood shed!

The poor cat was really skinny and had a really bad eye... the rabbits Pib and Chunk kept him warm all night and played with him in the morning. Ginge got a few good meals and got to stay inside for a night in a nice blanket and the next day he was taken to the vets and given to the RSPCA.

I remember this cute little fella from my friend Joe's parents house in Long Island (new york) about 5 years ago. He didn't like socks very much

Cow Cat loves having his chin scratched. Its such a big thing in the cow cat house hold its now known as 'chinny chin'...if he's in the mood he will follow you around until he gets one. This made it doubley sad when he jumped out the window and broke his jaw...no chinny chin for 6 weeks!
